The location of the cottages is ideal, with plenty of outdoor space for children to play and beautiful walks nearby. the cottages themselves are well-appointed, with modern decor and all the necessary amenities, including a well-equipped kitchen. the cottages provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay for families.

The timing for the swimming pool slots can be restrictive, with the last slot sometimes as early as 4.30pm. This may inconvenience guests who wish to use the pool after a day out exploring.

The cottage we stayed in was a nice size and had everything we needed. It was well equipped and cozy, making us feel right at home. One of the best aspects of our stay was having access to a pool during the day. Our daughter absolutely loved it and it was one of the highlights of her holiday. the location of the cottages was great, with easy access to key attractions and amenities. We also enjoyed the fact that the cottages had a pool table, adding another fun activity for the whole family to enjoy.

There were a few minor issues that we encountered during our stay. the pillows in the cottage were quite firm, making it a bit uncomfortable for us to sleep.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Our stay at the cottage was absolutely amazing. It had everything we could possibly want in a stunning location. The cottage was so comfortable and spacious, with little touches like blankets with the sofas that were really appreciated. The kids loved the indoor heated swimming pool and the on-site play area. It truly felt like a home away from home. The views were phenomenal and we were lucky to have some sunshine during our stay. The location was perfect, with the Peak District National Park just a 30-minute drive away and Carsington Waters within walking distance. We would definitely visit again.

The cottage at Knockerdown was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The twin beds in the bedroom were comfortable and there was plenty of storage space. As young people, we loved the ample space in the cottage and the well-maintained playground and meadow right outside the back door. the location was ideal, with Carsington Water just minutes away and Buxton within easy reach. Plenty of options for walking and cycling, making it perfect for active individuals like us.

We loved our stay at this peaceful cottage just a short walk from Carsington Water. the cozy and clean accommodations were ideal for us as a couple. the cottage itself was spacious with comfortable seating and a dining table. the main bedroom with en suite shower room was perfect, and there was also a twin bedroom with a nearby family bathroom. the location was great for exploring Wirksworth and Ashbourne, and there were plenty of local walks to enjoy. the free WiFi and TV in both the main lounge and bedroom were convenient. a warm and welcoming cottage in a beautiful location.

Had an excellent experience at this family-friendly hotel. Booked a Christmas present for my family to go to Alton Towers, and they couldn't stop raving about their stay. The indoor pool was the icing on the cake, and the location near Carsington water offered plenty of activities. The cottage provided spacious and clean accommodations, with all the necessary amenities. The Knockerdown Inn nearby had a lovely beer garden and play area, perfect for families. Highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay.
